This is not okay.

We have failed as a nation if we are okay with this.  Meet Desmond Napoles, also known as Desmond is Amazing according to his website.

Via Dailywire.com:

On December 1, an 11-year-old boy dressed in drag danced on stage in a sexual manner at a gay bar in Brooklyn, NY, called 3 Dollar Bill. The child, Desmond Napoles, was dressed as a Gwen Stefani-lookalike — full drag make up, a blonde wig, and crop top included — as he bounced around onstage to No Doubt’s “Like a Girl” and collected dollar bills from male adults viewing the number.

The Daily Wire has reviewed and confirmed the “performance” through video and photo posts on social media but has chosen not to link to the exploitative footage.

This is straight up child abuse.  There is no other word for it.  And everyone involved with this child’s upbringing should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.  Our laws should be changed to increase these punishments too, by the way.  This club should be penalized and shut immediately.  And they know what they were doing was f’ed up, as per their phone policy.

“The club has a weird no cell phone policy, but we we [sic] wanted to have a good night, so we went along with it. The club put our phones in these locked sleeves, which we could tire around the club. Upon entry, they stamped our hands and write our phone check/cost check numbers in our wrists in permanent marker,” said one reviewer.

Another said, “They also make you put your phone into a locked magnet pouch at the door, so it can’t be used while there. You can slip it into your pocket but can’t get in the pouch.”

I can’t imagine why they’d ban cell phones entirely from this thing…

I do not want to live in a nation where this is considered okay.  This is Weimar Republic Germany type shit.  And while there is a fair bit of outrage over it, there are also mainstream outlets praising this kid and propping him up.  A snippet from a Dailybeast article:

RuPaul Loves ‘Drag Kid’ Desmond. You Will Too. Fiercely.

Desmond is 10 and a proud, fierce ‘drag kid,’ emphatic that it is he, not his parents, in charge of what he does and what he wears. Desmond also wants to inspire other LGBTQ kids.

The time of total tolerance of anything and everything has to stop.  It will only get worse if we do not push back.  They’re coming after our kids.  They are already trying to normalize pedophelia.  Sexualizing prepubescent children.  This kid and these outlets can wax poetic all they want about how this was Desmond’s choice.  He’s clearly being abused and used by his parents for their own benefit.  Here’s the first snippet from Desmond’s bio, from his website linked above:

Desmond Napoles (AKA Desmond is Amazing) is a performer, drag kid, awarded LGBTQ advocate, outspoken gay youth, editorial model, public speaker, founder of his own drag house, fashion designer, muse, and icon. Most importantly, he is an inspiration to many and a representation of hope for the future to come.

And further:

Desmond was born in June 2007, during NYC Pride Week, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan. As he tells it, this means that he “is a member of the Village People by default”. He has also claimed that he “came out of the closet when he was born”.  Desmond has a loving family and lives in New York City with his father, mother, and many pets. He also has an older sister. Desmond’s nickname at home is Desi.

Watch for yourself.  Clearly he’s not writing this stuff himself.  And no normal child spends a second thinking about their sexuality to this level, or advocating for LGBTQ rights, or even understanding what the hell that means before they hit 6th grade.  Nor should they be at an event like that at that age.  He never had a chance.

Pray for Desmond.  Pray for all the kids out there being told they can be whatever gender they want and who have parents with twisted ideas foisted on them before they even know anything about themselves.
