California: A Degenerate Playground for Adults

California may be the epicenter for the societal decay going on in the West right now.  California is a perverted version of Neverland for adults.  Nobody there wants to grow up.  The pursuit of pleasure and escape from reality is the main motivator for far more adults there than many would think.

People are waiting longer and longer to get married, if they get married at all.  California has the 7th highest age for women to get married, behind other liberal dens of degeneration like New York, Massachusetts, and Washington DC (though not a state, this was the highest age for all women, at 30).  You may wonder why that matters.  Well, when women put off child-rearing that late, the chances they will even try to have kids at all surely declines the older a woman gets.  Couple that with the phenomena of “dog moms” and you have a recipe for generational disaster.  What’s a dog mom, you ask?  Peruse any dating app in California and you are inevitably inundated with dog moms, or women who own dogs and proclaim themselves as dog moms.  They call them their babies.  You can see women stop each other on the street fawning over each other’s dogs the way mothers used to do this with babies.  It’s almost as if they’re trying to satiate an innate urge deep down…but what do I know.  Biology is a social construct, right?  My theory on this is they have that motherly urge, but having a child is too much responsibility in their eyes, and plus who wants to put on all that extra weight, amirite?  It’s so much easier to be a career woman and only have to walk and take care of a dog when you get home from work anyways.  This may sound harsh, but this is the state of things.

Guys aren’t any better.  You can see dudes over 40 years old skateboarding everywhere in the coastal California cities.  Grown adults of both genders zip around on those electric scooters and bikes.  Then after a long day of work, if one has a job, what better way to relax and unwind than smoking a bowl on the beach maaaan?  “It’s 4:20 somewhere” is a common billboard you’ll see everywhere.  Marijuana billboards dot the landscape.  Advertising to adults to smoke weed to help…your hangover.

Again, many will say “are all these things really that big a deal?”.  “Why does it matter?”

Yes, it does matter.  When you’ve raised a whole generation or two to endlessly pursue only pleasure, in the YOLO generation, it does effect the fabric of society.  We may not feel it right away, much like we didn’t feel the effects of tolerating all sorts of perversion and bad behavior right away, in a still largely Christian society, but we are starting to see and feel it.  The pursuit of pleasure as an ultimate endpoint is empty.  It is not gratifying.  More young adults are on anti-depressants than ever before.  Single women, if not dog moms, buy cats to fill that empty void.

I’m sure California isn’t the only place with this issue of adults who never really grew up, but in a place with near perfect weather and cushy benefits to those who do not work, the problem is probably worse there than most other places.  Perfect weather, the epicenter of the porn industry, lax drug laws, and a liberal mentality that takes all responsibility off of the people of the state, and you have a recipe for disaster.

Not to beat a dead horse here, but it does require constant reminding, and the idea needs to spread in general, that Western civilization fundamentally depends on Christianity.  Without it, we do not have a western society.  Connect the dots.  Contrast the ultimate aim of a Christian to that of one who feels there is no higher purpose and that there is nothing beyond this life.  Without that higher calling, it is easy to see how one could fall into the “you only live once” mentality.  Christians fundamentally have longer time preferences.  Longer time preferences enable the ability to delay gratification.  Christianity encourages family building (go forth and multiply).  When you have a family, and you have children who depend on you, your purpose becomes greater than yourself.  You want to leave the world a better place than the way you inherited it so your children can live better lives.  And this is passed on from generation to generation.  It sounds so simple, so obvious, but look how far we’ve strayed from this.  It’s no wonder there are more homeless people today and more people on welfare today than ever before.  California cities are filthy.  San Diego sidewalks reek of piss everywhere.  You can download an app to report human feces in the streets of San Francisco.

Liberal paradise

When you have nobody but yourself to live for, what point is there to save up money if you aren’t going to pass it on to anybody?  Who cares if you suck off the tit of the state?  And when you take no responsibility for your actions, and don’t care about future generations because “whatever, I won’t be alive for it anyway”, it is easy to see how people could vote for policies that literally kill off future generations (look up how many abortions have been performed) and be okay with allowing anyone and everyone to come into the country unchecked, legally or illegally.  If you think there’s nothing beyond this life it becomes awfully easy to justify bad behavior.  So yes, it does matter.
