A Heartfelt Thanks to Fathers

In an age where men are under subversive attack more than ever it is important for us to take some time out of our day to thank our fathers, grandfathers, uncles, the men who raised us and who built this country.  Children need strong role models, both a mother and a father.  The idea of a strong independent woman who can do both simply is not the case.  Children need both parents.  The one common thread amongst most of the mass shooters is that they came from single-parent households and did not have a father figure.

The attack on men and fatherhood is real.  I think we can all agree in the past year or two more than ever the push to try and remove the genders is as bad as ever.  As divorce rates climb and children are increasingly raised without a father figure the ripple effect in the next generation or two will be disastrous.  And the attacks are everywhere.  Even subtle crap, like Google not thanking fathers today, is a subversive cultural attack that does have an effect.  They will find any and every excuse to celebrate every accomplishment and holiday for every group other than straight (usually white) men.  Often times it is not noticeable in the moment, but it grows over time.

Can’t even do it today can ya Google?

Hug your pops if you can.  Say a quick prayer if he has passed on.  Get married.  Have children.  Raise families and raise your kids right so we can leave society (hopefully) a little better off than we found it.  For those fathers out there looking for a good blog for Christian men, check out Men of the West.
