A few news item updates

Two stories from the last few days have had some updates that warrant commenting.

This story about a few Muslims training children for school shootings in a compound in New Mexico again highlights the double standard some in this country continue to try and push which will lead us closer to a civil war.  Fox News has reported that the five defendants were let out on $20,000 bail and GPS trackers.

The state judge who on Monday set a $20,000 bail for five defendants arrested at a remote New Mexico compound where authorities say children were being trained to conduct school shootings has a history of issuing low bail to violent offenders.

Judge Sarah Backus, an elected Democrat, ordered the two men and three women to wear ankle monitors, have weekly contact with their attorneys and not consume alcohol or own firearms while on bail. She said although she was concerned by “troubling facts,” prosecutors failed to articulate any specific threats to the community.

The five suspects were arrested more than a week ago when police raided a squalid makeshift living structure near the Colorado state line in response to a report of children living in filth, severe hunger and dangers including a leaky propane tank. The 11 children found at the compound were placed in state custody.

So let’s recap: five people keep children in squalid conditions in a compound and teach them how to use guns allegedly for school shootings.  A disabled child is reported kidnapped by the father.  A body found at the compound is suspected to be the disabled child, reportedly killed during an exorcism to “cure” him.  Does this sound like a sane group of people who pose no harm to the community?  I have a hard time believing this same standard would be applied if it had been a militia in Michigan and Caucasian defendants.  Even if you forget about the firearms training, which I’m okay with and is perfectly legal, is it really safe or fair or sane to let people out who let a kid die under their care, didn’t report it, and buried him without notifying anyone?

Not surprisingly, the judge in this case is a Democrat who went to school in California and worked in San Francisco for many years.  The article also reports she has a history of loosening up bails and sentences for violent offenders.

An update from this story in the continued deplatforming of Alex Jones.  Twitter has officially banned Alex Jones for 7 days after a livestream telling his viewers to prepare to defend themselves.  Yep, that’s it.

The legacy media and big social media are trying to kill free speech outright.  This is obviously a concerted effort to deplatform InfoWars.  These companies didn’t all magically and independently decide to ban them on their own.  The Twitters, Facebooks, and YouTube’s of the world will continue to pretend they are all about free speech then shadow ban and outright block anyone who doesn’t support the narrative.  Straight up 1984.

Update: And it looks like they’re going after Stefan Molyneux next.

The Most Dangerous Game

The left is crossing into dangerous territory.  It’s not just hyperbole when I say they are pushing us ever closer to a civil war.  They are continually attacking Constitutional liberties that were set in place to protect all citizens.

For a long time the second amendment was their issue du jour.  Their ultimate goal is to ban all firearms, an incredibly naive and short sighted move.  The power players on the left use the majority of the left as “useful idiots” to further their actual agenda.  The useful idiots push the narrative under the guise that they think everyone will be safer if nobody has weapons.  This is a common tactic we’ll see throughout our dealings with the Cabal and the agenda they are pushing.  Whether it’s guns, free speech, or other forms of indoctrination they will continually use the left to push these points under the guise of a different reason.

Anybody who has studied any history knows that disarming the populace is not the path towards a safer society but rather towards an oppressive regime and genocide.  There are well known examples in Russia, China, and Germany.  Great Britain likes to boast they are basically gun-free and how is it going for them?  Or Venezuela?  Hitler famously said, “The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let’s not have any native militia or native police.“.

This issue tends to creep up after another shooting.  Always in a gun-free zone, but that’s besides the point.  Of course, only when it suits their agenda.  Did you hear about the 72 people shot, 13 people killed in Chicago this weekend?  Me neither.  MSM will not report this stuff on a grand scale.

At the moment, they’ve moved up to attacking our greatest freedom, which is of course freedom of speech.  This past week has been a circus, with much buzz about InfoWars being deplatformed on Facebook, Google, Apple, and Spotify.  Again, this is a blatant attempt of the left to suppress free speech, and more specifically speech they disagree with.  A few sites have stuck up for Alex Jones, notably Twitter (surprisingly).

How do they think this will end?  We know what the ultimate goal of the Cabal is in this case, but your ordinary, garden variety left leaning person agreeing with this is troubling.  How short sighted are these people?  Do they really see that this precedent could someday (and inevitably) be used against them?  We already see it now.  When Obama was in office and they had control of the House and Senate they used tactics and many executive orders to get what they wanted.  Now that the other side uses similar tactics all they do is complain.

So called “hate speech”, a completely absurd yet clever spin concocted by the left is what needs to be protected most of all.  It’s easy to defend the stuff you agree with, not so much the stuff you don’t want to hear.  It’s clear many on the left are short sighted so they cannot see the implications of their actions when they cry for the government or big tech companies to ban websites and personalities they do not like.  And given that big tech is almost completely comprised of left leaning types at this point in time it’s easy for them to suppress voices and opinions they disagree with.  Facebook and Twitter have recently come under attack for selectively censoring viewpoints they do not agree with.

I say again, how do they think this will end?  Do they really think the portion of the country that is selectively policed by the other side, while they’re being told “hey it’s for your own good” is just going to sit there and take it when they see the rules used differently for some people as compared to others?  We’re continually told “don’t worry, we can be trusted in how we police” yet there is zero evidence they can be trusted and a mountain of evidence on the contrary.  We know this to be entirely true.  Recently, conservative journalist Candace Owens retweeted something racist NY Times journalist Sarah Jeong wrote about white people, but replaced “white” with “Jewish” and “black”.  What was the result?

Twitter later responded by saying it was a mistake.  Right.  Funny how these mistakes only seem to happen to people on the right.  This is the double standard I speak about all the time.  As if the useful idiots won’t have this turned against them once the purge is complete.

Rightly so, conservatives are pushing alt-tech to create new platforms that truly respect freedom of speech.  Sites like BitChute and Gab have made some nice inroads but have a long way to go.  Sadly, even these sites are not entirely safe from leftist policing.  Microsoft has threatened to stop hosting Gab due to supposed “hate speech” posts.  They truly are pushing for such segregation that nothing will be able to be shared between those who believe in freedom and those who want more government control and suppression.

This will not end well.  Those who still believe in the principles this country were founded on will only take so much before they finally snap and hit back.  It is imperative we try and solve this peacefully if at all possible.  I wish I could say for sure that this was achievable, but the violent and oppressive tactics the left have been using will force the hand of those reasonable people on the other side eventually.  Perhaps it’s as good a time as any to remind ourselves of Rudyard Kipling’s poem, The Wrath of the Awakened Saxon.

It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.

They were not easily moved,
They were icy — willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.

Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not suddently bred.
It will not swiftly abate.
Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.

Shocker: Republicans hurt more than Democrats after Facebook algorithm changes

In perhaps the least surprising news to come out of the Facebook crap Republicans have seen a sharper decline in interactions with users than Democrats after Facebook’s algorithm changes made in January.  Via The Western Journal:

After Facebook’s January algorithm changes, pages associated with members of both major parties saw a significant decrease in interactions with readers, but the Facebook pages of Republican members of the House and Senate were impacted measurably more than those of their Democrat counterparts.

The exclusive report showed that the interaction rate on Republican congressional Facebook pages decreased by 37 percent, compared to a change of just over 27 percent on Democrat-operated pages.

The study goes into a lot more detail on the types of decreases.  I don’t think anybody is surprised by this result.  Mark Zuckerberg’s views are well known and he cannot be trusted.  Forget freedom of speech for a second, privacy concerns alone should be enough to get you off the platform.  Couple that with 1A and my sympathy can only extend so far for those whose privacy and rights are abused by FB.

The Cabal has woken up since the election and they are cracking down hard on all avenues that President Trump used to his advantage to reach potential voters.  Since they cannot win the war of ideas and arguments they’re not surprisingly going the censorship route.  Many think sites like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter should be treated as public utilities and regulated as such.  I’m not sure I agree with this, but maybe it’s the best route at this point.  These sites like to tout they are all about freedom of speech because it sounds good, but the reality is they are censoring all the time, and when people are shadow banned or censored outright they like to then say they’re a private company and it’s their right.  Sorry, you can’t have it both ways.

Round One goes to Jared Taylor

A California Supreme Court Judge rejected Twitter’s request to dismiss a lawsuit brought on by Jared Taylor for banning his and American Renaissance’s Twitter accounts.  Press Release:

Judge Kahn recognized Taylor’s claim under California’s Unfair Competition Law (UCL) that Twitter could be, in effect, guilty of false advertising by holding itself out as a public forum for free speech while reserving the right to ban the expression of ideas with which it disagrees. Judge Kahn also recognized Taylor’s claim under the UCL that Twitter’s terms of service—according to which it claims the right to ban any user any time for any reason—may well be “unconscionable,” and a violation of the law.

In oral argument, Judge Kahn asked: “Twitter can discriminate on the basis of religion, or gender, or sexual preference, or physical disability, or mental disability?” Counsel for Twitter conceded that it claimed that right—even though it would never exercise it. Judge Kahn denied that Twitter has such a right.

This is the first time censorship by a social media platform—an increasingly widespread practice seen by many as discrimination against conservative viewpoints—has been found actionable under state or federal law. This finding could have far-reaching consequences for other internet platforms that have become essential vehicles for the expression of ideas but that silence voices with which they disagree.

This lawsuit has larger free speech implications as well that extend far beyond this one case.  Social media giants like Twitter and Facebook have time and again silenced those exhibiting wrongthink, better known as conservatives or any other person or group spreading ideas and information that do not fit the official narrative.  After the momentous 11/8/16 they’ve clamped down with much more ferocity against dissenting ideas.  This is a first step that couldn’t come soon enough.  Here’s hoping for the best in the upcoming lawsuit.
